Greetings,

It is with a heavy heart I tell you that Susie “Snowflake” Smith will not be returning to BCS for the 2018-19 school year. She will be taking care of the love of her life, her grandbaby! We will miss her desperately but are happy that she can help her family.

Susie has done so much for so many over her 21 years at BCS. She has handed out countless hugs and pieces of candy to our students and staff and is always ready to lend a soft place to land. She welcomed all of us into her tribe and she protects her own! She has dedicated her career to BCS and has faithfully served the Lord.

She will be greatly missed but we rejoice with her on her new adventure. We made the announcement to the students today in chapel.

We will be having a reception for Susie on Tuesday, June 5th from 3-5pm in the gym. We invite all parents, friends, and family to join us at that time to express our love and gratitude to Susie. If you would like to bring a note, letter, or special memory, we will be collecting them and making her a keepsake.

The students will have their own time to say goodbye, have a treat, and share special memories with Susie from 2:15pm until dismissal on June 5th.

We pray that a blessing on Susie and her family and we thank God for her generous and loving spirit!
